Read South West is a Reader Development executive and membership that represents all 17 library services across the local authorities in South West England and is the key delivery agent for Reader Development in the region’s libraries, working throughout the year and in partnership with national, regional and local partners.

The Read South West membership is composed of reader development librarians representing the 17 library services of our region: Bath & North East Somerset; Bournemouth; Bristol; Cornwall; Devon; Dorset; Gloucestershire; Guernsey; Jersey; North Somerset; Plymouth; Poole; Somerset; South Gloucestershire; Swindon; Torbay; Wiltshire.

Reader Development in libraries means the statutory provision of activity that celebrates and expands reader choices, increases confidence and enjoyment of reading and promotes learning, literacy and wellbeing for all ages through reading.
